* Croatian Emilia Kokić was a lead singer of Yugoslavian group Riva, which gained the only victory for Yugoslavia in 1989 with Rock Me
* German Joy Flemming was on ESC stage far as 1975. In Stockholm she was 17th
* Slovenian entrant tried for 3 times in row to get the ticket to ESC. On first two occasions, she went to SCC, on 3rd time, she went to Riga in 2003 and become 23rd with Na, na, na
* Latvia's Maria Naumova (Marie N), got her ESC ticket year later, and in Tallin 2002 she won with I Wanna
* Maltese Ira Losco also went to Tallin and she got second, behind Marie N
* Iceland representative Eyjolfur was on ESC in Rome 1991, where he finished 15th with duet. Birgitta's chance for ESC came 2 years later when she went to Riga as well and became 9th with Open Your Heart.
