martin perovi
Martin Perovi came out of nowhere in this year's 29th "Melodije morja in sonca" (Melodies of the sea and sun). Only 17 years old, he made a big impression not only to the media but also to the audience in the auditorium with his appearance and more importantly with his strong vocal. He introduced himself to Slovene public with the song "Peti element" (The fifth element) which was co-written by Simon Gomilek and Diana Lenik (Duo Platin). We believe that the song, in which Martin sings about his fifth element (could be interpreted as his girl but also as his greatest love - music), will have great success with all the audience who can truly devote their attention to the song they listen as one can feel emotional vigor despite his youth.
His mother was born in Maribor (Slovenia); his father is from Serbia and Montenegro. He became interested in music very early as he had his first public appearance with only 9 on "Otroci pojejo hite" (Children sings hits). When he was 12 he was proclaimed as "best debutante on third channel television Beograd". He took part at "Sunane skale 2005" in Montenegro and on "Sun flavor" in Zrenjanin. He also successfully finished elementary school of music. In late 2005 he moved with his family (parents and 2 brothers) to Slovenia, more precisely to Maribor, where he quickly adapted to new environment and has firm intention to proceed with his musical career.
