interview with frenk nova
(the winner of OGAE Video song contest)

1. Frenk Nova is person who works in the music business on many levels. He writes music, he is a soloist, instrumentalist... How would you describe yourself?
I'm an universal musician and a human being.

2. When someone mentions the name Frenk Nova majority thinks about group Babilon. Does this bother you at all?
It never bothered me at all, as we were a successful group and even now I'm continuing the work with a new group with a similar name Babilon 05. It bothered me just when people shouted after me "Hey, Babilon". It is better now.

3. Babilon which we use to know, doesn't exist any more. But the name remains?
Yes, we came from pop to dance and ended as rock group. There are new people in the bend and get we along in music, but we sound more or less "rock". We even play old hits in that stile.

4. Members of OGAE Slovenia elected video "Ne priznam" as the best in the country this year. Where did you come with an idea for video and maybe some funny moments from the shooting?
I think that only members of the club have a great taste in Slovenia, ha, ha. We got an idea for video when we went out for a drink; our producer Bobo has a very big imagination. Funny moment: when Clea's bra unhooked and one of the oriental ornament flew across the hall into the cameraman on the other side. He didn't saw it coming.

5. Clea or Jelena erani was performing the song with you. She has very beautiful voice. Why her?
I was Clea's author and producer with her new project. She also sings with the group Babilon 05. We both have similar voices and similar tones - it's a winning combination.

6. You have participated on every festival in Slovenia: twice on "Slovenska popevka", "Hit festival", "Melodije morja in sonca" and five times on Ema in various roles. Wining on which festival, would mean the most ?
On Slovenska popevka because you must sing live with an orchestra and exceptional musicians.

7. It has been said by many performers on Ema that they are just participating but they don't care if they. Do you have the same opinion?
I was once a big Eurovision fan and I think it is an all-European event; the sensation to perform with that crowd in the hall and in front of TV must be thrilling to the performer and authors. I will succeed in one way or another.

8. It is a fact that you haven't perform on one of our festivals. Namely in our own festival named "Gradevizija" At the beginning of October we will have our 10th show. Would you like to be nominated as an expert guest jury on it?
We have a deal I immensely enjoy in this role. Judging, yes, yes, yes...
